HAZARDS FIREFIGHTERS FACE

 

It may not be obvious what claims the lives of Firefighters.  Check out this excellent story from WSBT.

 

NEW ENGINE IN SERVICE

The Harris Township Fire Department has taken delivery of a new fire engine from Pierce Manufacturing of Appleton, Wisconsin.  The engine replaces a 1987 model that is being sold.

 

In addition to having a compressed air foam system this engine has “inside” seating for the Firefighters riding in the back.  The former engine had “outside seating”.

 

The engine will Stationed at the State Road 23 Firehouse.
